Sheryl Underwood is an American television personality and comedian, is most well-known as presenter on The Talk, a popular talk show broadcast on daytime television. Born in Arkansas she was raised at Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl was raised in a difficult family. She spent most of her young life caring for her sister Frankie who was afflicted by an illness called polio. While growing up, Sheryl was plagued by problems with her mom. Sheryl says that at an incident, she was stabbed by her father due to him being too close with her. Sheryl joined military after graduating from university. Her passions were in comedy. She was selected as the first woman to be a finalist in the Miller Lite Comedy Search, that was held in the year 1989. Her first TV job in the year 1992, having a frequent appearance as a performer on HBO's comedy show Def Comedy Jam. The show was hosted by her Oh Drama! in 2000. Presently, she is a guest co-host for Talk Talk since 2011. She also has fictional roles in popular shows such as Bulworth and Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
